The Community Mental Health Project was initiated with the objective to provide sustainable basic mental health services to the community, ensuring early detection, treatment, and rehabilitation of mental health patients within their own communities. This reduces stigma, improves access, and promotes long-term well-being, particularly in remote and tribal areas served by the Society.
Through door-to-door surveys, community awareness sessions, and follow-up care, the project identifies individuals in need and provides counseling, medication (where required), and rehabilitation support, often integrated with the Society's hospitals like SVCH Dharmawala.
For more details, support, or to refer someone in need, contact the Society or Swami Vivekanand Charitable Hospital, Dharmawala.
